What is a fair price for a NIB Tron. I found one and the guy is asking me what "fair" price I'm willing to pay for it......
Thanks. Claude.

Depends, is it a Pro or a LE ? Fair price would be NIB value at least i guess ? And the Pro was averaging 5000$ taxes in when new. LE prices skyrocketted for some reasons and there is no such thing as fair price anymore But if i remember well, it was 1500$ more than a Pro with taxes when it was new.. (5600$ compared to 4350$ before tax.. so around 6500$)

Well I would assume that you won't get it for the same price as the seller paid for it, if they have had it all this time without opening it he is probably trying to make some money off of it. I guess the question is, what price would you be comfortable paying? And I'm guessing this is for the Pro model, because if it is a NIB LE then you could expect people to be charging over 10k for the game..

$5500+ I just sold one with less than 100 plays, Tron Legacy ($5500). No mods, & others were asking after it sold. I believe only 25 Pro's sold in Canada, I bought 2 of them. Both were sold (N.B. & ON).

Don't pay an extra value for the taxes. Personnaly i'm not in a rush but very interested by this pin. Just wait after few more titles from Stern and you will see more of them on the market for more reasonnable price or if Stern make a better title than Tron in the future , just buy it

And since you are a reseller and not the buyer who actually purchases them directly from STERN, again how do you come up with 25 ? A good friend of mine who works in sales at SB MTL says that they have bought much more than 25 Pros in T.O.

Aljo you're probably looking at ~$6k for NIB at this point. Also find out if it's screened cab or decals.

I would tend to believe what the sales director at Cineplex Starburst told me (Tron Legacy Pro, not Limited Edition) . All my pins are purchased from the distributor in Toronto.
My thoughts on the numbers for Canada, are they sound reasonable to me. No one probably thought Stern wouldn't run any more in future production.

Believe what you want. I bought 2 as a dealer. People have chimed in a few more, by my count less than 10. The count in Canadian export Stern Tron pins, not USA models.

For the record, pinball is my life. I love pinball and all it has to offer. Most of my best friends were met at pinball locations. Too bad technology has taken away the places to go and a way to meet new people in public.

Terrance (Burlington) x1 Sylvain (Montreal) x1 Working Pins (Ottawa) x 1 Williams Fan x 1 Machine Slave (Brampton) x 1 __________________________________ Total = 5
(If only 25 were sold, then there should only be 25 around. Mine is HUO but it was bought NIB - given only 5 came up so far, although unlikely, maybe 25 is close????)
(PS: Tron value was a joke - I can't see ever selling it - it's the Best pin I have)

(PS: Tron value was a joke - I can't see ever selling it - it's the Best pin I have) Not a chance there's only 25...does the entire West Coast not even count as part of Canada or something? I know of at least 4 people on other boards, that bought NIB Pro's out in Alberta/Calgary(One's that are not part of this board). This doesn't even count Operators that we don't know about, don't frequent ANY online boards we all may. And Starburst is NOT the only distributor in this country. Like I said, I can see 25 LE's Canada-wide, but insisting on only 25 Pros....not a friggin chance. You've already accounted for 20% of that, from home users on this dinky little forum.

If you're buying 15-20 machines, they're not going to refer you to a distributor. I only know of 2 guys in the US that do/have done this, but it certainly doesn't mean there isn't anyone here that hasn't. I suppose maybe I'm just looking at the numbers and thinking it's just not possible, when many machines may be simply purchased in the US and brought back(Whic yes, I know is not what the numbers were based on).
